
FIRST STAGE -- In no more than three pages, answer the following questions:
1) Briefly describe your proposed organization? (limit 250 words)
2) What is the social problem that you are attempting to address? (Be specific about how that problem connects to the mission of the Blue Ridge Foundation)
3) What will your organization do to address this problem? (Be sure to connect your insights about the problem to the particular solution you are proposing.)
4) How will you know whether or not your work is successful?
5) Describe how your organization is different from other organizations already attempting to solve the same problem.
6) How do you expect to obtain funding to support your organization in the short and long run? (financial model)
7) Why are you qualified to lead this organization? Be specific about relevant past experience.

2-year budget, including actual and projected revenue sources (e.g., individual giving, foundation giving, earned income, etc.)
* Please note: There is no standard amount of funding that Blue Ridge Foundation New York will provide - our support for individual organizations will depend on the number and type of groups within our portfolio at any given time. We expect - but do not require - that the first year budgets of most groups, including salaries, will be in the $100,000 to $300,000 range.
