We are prepared to make significant grants during the early start-up phase and with this commitment we allow directors of portfolio groups to leverage our funds and broaden the support they can attract at the outset of their efforts. We expect to renew our funding for several years and work with groups to diversify their resources.

Amounts. Blue Ridge typically makes direct cash grants in amounts ranging from $100,000 to $300,000 annually to each of our grantees. In some cases, Blue Ridge will provide an organization with in-kind support only, or very small annual grants of $10,000 to $30,000.

Length of support. Our direct financial support will typically last 3 to 6 years.

In-kind value. The in-kind support we offer to our grantees – office space, management assistance, etc. – usually amounts to $20,000 to $75,000 per year for each grantee.
