Dana is Senior Coordinator
for CEO Initiatives & Project Manager, NYC.
She is a graduate of Princeton University (A.B.,
2003). As an undergraduate, Dana studied urban policy in the
Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International
Affairs. Dana's passion for education began in
the summer after her sophomore year, when an internship
with CharterTeach made her realize she wanted to focus
her efforts on institutional change and whole-scale reform of the
education system. Dana then spent her junior spring abroad in Cape
Town, South Africa, where she helped re-design the curriculum for the
university-run after school program. When Dana returned to Princeton
she completed a senior thesis on welfare reform in New York State. After
serving as a College Summit Writing Coach in 2003, Dana joined the organization
full-time.
In 2004, Dana began leading strategic initiatives
for College Summit with Founder and CEO J.B. Schramm, and subsequently
became the Secretary of the Corporation.
Sheldon Maye,
Senior New Sites High School Coordinator
Sheldon is a graduate of Duke University (A.B., 2003). Growing up, he was a beneficiary of various organizations aiding underprivileged, minority youth. He often states, "I am successful today because of organizations like College Summit" and is inspired by giving back to those who share some of his experiences. He has been a part of numerous organizations, ranging from academic enrichment and career development to life-skills support, making sure young adults have an alternative to "street life." Sheldon joined College Summit in early spring of 2004 and has been instrumental in the organization's efforts to expand its program to high schools across the country.
