Goods that Give, Inc. (GTG) is a website that
makes it easy for socially conscious and progressive
individuals to shop for high quality products.
GTG’s vendors are American based businesses
that manufacture products, employ American workers,
package and sell goods – all in a progressive
manner. Many of the vendors are dedicated to hiring,
training and creating jobs in the United States. GTG’s
future fulfillment vendor, for instance, trains and
employs the hard-to-employ while its packaging company
manufactures unique environmentally sound packaging
materials. Other vendors are focused on fostering
growth in the local community. As a result, when someone
buys a $50 item from GTG, the funds have a profound
and extensive effect on the local economy, jobs and
the community. GTG has created clear selection criteria
for its vendors that are based upon The U.N. Global
Compact.
Please note:
Goods That Give, Inc. is not funded by The Blue Ridge
Foundation New York. It receives space at no cost
and in turn, works with the portifolio members as
they are interested in social entrepreneurship. Originally,
GTG's founder was an affiliate at Blue Ridge since
it housed Social Venture Consulting, which was also
not funded by Blue Ridge but occupied space.
